As Medical Director, you combine clinical expertise with medical leadership: together with the team, you set the course of our fertility care, raise the quality of care to a higher level and actively support patients in their wish to have a child. In this way, you make a difference for patients, healthcare professionals and the future of fertility care in the Netherlands.
How you make a difference as Medical Director
You have ultimate responsibility for the medical quality, patient safety and clinical performance of all Nij Clinics locations, in consultation with all medical specialists and embryologists. You translate strategy into concrete results and bring healthcare professionals together around clinical excellence, innovation and patient-centred care. You fulfil this role for around two days a week and combine it with two to three days a week of clinical work as a gynaecologist in Gorinchem, with occasional sessions in Elsendorp and Wolvega. This way, you stay close to day-to-day practice and remain involved in the fertility care of your patients.
Your responsibilities:
- Safeguarding and further developing the quality of care, in line with protocols, guidelines and scientific insights
- Actively steering clinical outcomes, such as pregnancy and success rates
- Leading clinical quality and oversight processes
- Working closely with the Clinics Manager on capacity, planning and performance
- Supporting your own patients, holding clinics and carrying out fertility treatments at the Gorinchem location
You are a good fit for us if you…
- are a BIG-registered gynaecologist, preferably with a subspecialisation in reproductive medicine
- have extensive experience in fertility care/IVF and a proven track record in clinical excellence
- have the ambition to take on a leading medical role within a forward-thinking organisation with 140 dedicated professionals across three clinics
- have experience in medical leadership, with ultimate responsibility for medical policy, clinical outcomes and patient safety
- are analytically strong and able to steer the quality of care on the basis of data and outcomes
- can inspire, connect and coach healthcare professionals through times of change
- are comfortable in a dynamic, international environment
- have an excellent command of English
- can switch smoothly between the role of Medical Director and your clinical work, including clinics and treatments
What Nij Clinics offers you:
- A key role with a direct impact on clinical results and the quality of fertility care
